I’m going to need some alone time.

Alone time to what? Try and find a turbo kit for it?

Buick is quickly shaping up to be GM’s Audi....you know...actually attractive.

Hell of a lot better than Chevy at the moment.

Hell of a lot better than anything from the general at the moment. Cadillac should look long and hard at the sudden appeal of its nearly forgotten sister brand.

If that thing comes with a manual, I am going to need to see a doctor about an erection that lasts more than 4 hours.

I highly doubt it.

It would almost be cool if it had more than 310hp or cost less than $40k.

Not the best move of GM to get rid of Opel then?

If the Escala really is the new design direction for Cadillac products, I think they’ll be fine.

big if. They’ve trotted out quite a few sexy concepts over the years that came to naught.
![]() 07/19/2017 at 12:50 |

They’re no match for the Fusion/ Mondeo supposedly.

it’s going to have a weak sauce I-4 and slush box.

...it has a 310hp LFX V6, with the twin-clutch AWD made by the company that did the Focus RS that can do full torque vectoring to each wheel, coupled to a 9 speed auto. It has the makings of a pretty fun car.

slush box yes, I4, nope.
![]() 07/19/2017 at 13:13 |

Nope, they got rid of the manual option after 2015 I think.

thank god. I thought we were gonna get a fun car for a second.

I don’t know. While this Regal GS is a hell of a whole lot better than it’s predecessor, I think that Cadillac is onto something. They’re on a path, and their halfway to their destination. If the CT6 is any indication, the next gen CTS and ATS (or whatever they’ll be called, probably CT2 and CT4) should truly be on par with their Bavarian rivals.
I like the Caddys, but Buick stepped up their game with this one.

And no, the Buick is not more “premium”, because the Opel Insignia and Fusion are direct competitors in Europe
![]() 07/19/2017 at 14:23 |

Better looking and has a more premium marque on it. Average Joe isn’t going to know or care what an Opel is.

I’m not average Joe! And I don’t care for badges, only for the product itself. They may be similarly priced, the Fusion Sport is crazy expensive

I’m seeing brand new fusion sports under 30k in my area and sometimes less :
